Authority is not total

Well folks, I am completely speechless. I don’t know what I watched today. After I finished watching, I got on the telephone and called as many people as I could to discuss what we all just watched.

Never in my life would I think that The President of the United States of America would claim to say “my authority is total.” Shocked. Now, living out in West Texas, God Bless our state mind you, we’re all basically conservative people. We all believe in God and the personal freedoms that God has afforded us all by sacrificing His only Son, Jesus Christ.

Now I might be an old fellow, but I grew up when being a conservative in America meant small government. The founding principle of this country is separate but equal branches of government and a greater amount of authority and power vested in the states WITH THE EXCEPTION OF INTERSTATE COMMERCE. It’s like no one anymore reads the dang Constitution!

Now how the heck is the President of the United States of America come out and say that he has absolute authority over the states. This man is thedefinition of a RINO (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/mar/25/donald-trump-jabs-rino-mitt-romney-testing-negativ/). Now, I know a lot of people have been saying that Mitt Romney is but I’ll tell you what. At least that man is trying. Times are rough for everyone and the bailout of the banks back in 2008 didn’t go so well for the average American. I don’t enjoy much being the person to tell you, well I told you so, but I will really not like being that person this time around either.

America fought authoritarian regimes in the past and I bet there are a lot of people who will cling to our Second Amendment right and make sure we don’t have a President who has “total authority” over everything.

God Bless.

Chet
